Toonex BattleGround — a toon-style online shooter by Skymex Games
Minimum age. Toonex BattleGround contains cartoon-style shooting and combat. It is intended for players aged 16 or older in alignment with platform standards. If you are under the required age of digital consent in your country, please play only with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.
Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to the browser game Toonex BattleGround (the "Game"), developed with Godot Engine 4 by Skymex Games ("we", "our", "us"). The Game is published on Poki.com, which provides the platform, the Poki SDK and the advertising.
We keep data collection to a minimum: the Game has no accounts, no sign-up and no payments, and we do not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
Age requirements
- The Game is rated for players 16 and older (16+) because of its cartoon weapon violence (shooting between characters; no real-world depictions).
- We do not knowingly allow users below platform age requirements to use the Game and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
- Players under the age of digital consent in their region should have a parent's or guardian's permission to play online browser games.
- Parents and guardians can use parental-control tools of their device or browser to restrict access to online games.
Information we collect
We do not collect, store or sell personal data about players. We do not run an account system or a player database.
- No registration: you can play without logging in or giving personal details.
- No tracking by us: we do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data.
- No chat: the Game does not include text or voice chat.
Data saved on your device
To remember your progress, the Game saves a small file in your browser's local storage on your own device. It can contain:
- your nickname and chosen game mode and difficulty,
- coins, unlocked weapons and your weapon loadout,
- settings such as mouse sensitivity.
This data stays in your browser and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser data or using private browsing will remove it (you will lose your coins and unlocks).
Third-party services and ads
The Game integrates the official Poki SDK to run on Poki.com, to show advertisements (including optional rewarded video ads that give bonus coins) and to provide analytics. Poki and its advertising partners may automatically collect technical information such as:
- device, operating system and browser type,
- IP address and approximate (coarse) location, used for regional ads and fraud prevention,
- game session analytics and ad interaction data,
- cookie or advertising identifiers, depending on your consent choices.
Skymex Games does not receive this data. Poki acts as an independent data controller for it. Please read the Poki Privacy Policy to learn how your data is handled and how to manage your ad and cookie preferences.
Rewarded ads are always optional. You can play the Game without watching them.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Game itself uses browser local storage only for saving your progress (section 4). Cookies or similar technologies may be set by Poki and its ad partners. You can control them through the consent banner shown by Poki and through your browser settings.
Children's privacy
The Game is aligned with platform age policies (16+), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from underage users. We comply with privacy principles by not requiring any personal user profiles or emails to play. If a parent or guardian believes information was improperly provided, please contact us for removal.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data for advertising.
- Because we do not hold personal data about players, there is normally nothing for us to access or delete. You can erase your saved progress at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
- For data held by Poki or its partners, please use the privacy controls and contact options in the Poki Privacy Policy.
- You can also contact us with any privacy question (section 11).
Security and retention
The Game runs inside your browser and is served over HTTPS by Poki. We do not store player data on our own servers. Locally saved progress stays on your device until you delete it. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable care to minimise risk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add features or change how the Game works. Updates are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Please check it occasionally.
